    The Oak Park Class of 2000 received tremendous recognition from colleges and universities throughout the country! In an exit survey administered to all 168 seniors, comprehensive statistics were collected. The column abbreviations break out the data as follows: Accptd. = the number of Oak Park seniors who reported that they were accepted by this school; Attndg. = the number of seniors who reported that they have committed to attend this school; Avg.AP/C/H = the average number of AP, College and Honors courses taken by the student(s) who will be attending this school. It should be noted that all data is based on information provided by the students themselves.

    SENIOR STATISTICAL OVERVIEW:

    • A total of 93 are attending four-year colleges/universities, or 55.36% of the senior class.

    •  A total of 68 are attending junior/community colleges, or 40.48% of the senior class.

    •  A total of 161 are attending four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges.  Which is 95.84% of the senior class.

    •  3 students plan to work full-time + 1 will be participating in a study program in Israel + 1 will be attending a trade school + 2 foreign exchange students will be returning home to Germany = 7.  This group represents 4.16% of the senior class.

    •  A total of 142 (of those attending either four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges), are staying in California. Which is 84.52% of the senior class.

    •  A total of 19 (of those attending either four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges), are planning to attend school out-of-state. Which is 11.31%.  

    COLLEGE PREPARATORY STATUS:

    • 138 students reported that they had completed the UC “a-f” course pattern, or 82.14% of the senior class.

    •  30 students reported that they had not completed the UC “a-f” course pattern, or 17.86% of the senior class.

      FOUR-YEAR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY BREAKDOWN:

          UC & CSU

    •  39 are attending UC schools, or 23.21% of the senior class. 

    • 25 are attending CSU schools, or 14.88% of the senior class.

    •  64 are attending either UC or CSU schools, or 38.09% of the senior class.

          Private Schools

    • 20 are attending private schools (both California & out-of-state), or 11.90% of the senior class.

          Public Schools

    •  73 are attending public schools (both California & out-of-state), or 43.45% of the senior class.

          California Schools

    •  77 are attending California schools (both public & private), or 45.83% of the senior class.

          Out-Of-State Schools

    •  16 are attending out of state schools (both public & private), or 9.52% of the senior class.

         JUNIOR/COMMUNITY COLLEGE BREAKDOWN:

    •  65 are attending California community colleges, or 38.69% of the senior class.

    •  3 are attending out-of-state junior/community colleges, or 1.79% of the senior class.

    •  45 students reported that they had completed the UC “a-f” course pattern, but still chose to attend a junior/community college.   Which is 26.78% of the senior class.

    •  11students reported that they had been accepted to four-year schools, but still chose to attend a junior/community college. Which is 6.54% of the senior class.
