      August 20, 2019

    STUDENT SECTION

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the death of Brian M. Wolverton who after graduating from Oak Park High School and spending some time at Moorpark College joined the United States Army and served with the 32nd Infantry Regiment, out of Fort Drum, New York.  Private First Class Wolverton was killed in action in Asadabad, Afghanistan, on 20 August 2009 after sustaining wounds from enemy fire. His example serves as an unforgettable symbol of patriotism and selfless service, an individual who surrendered his life for his nation so that others may live.   Please join us for 10 seconds of silence to honor his memory and legacy.
