    SENIOR POST GRADUATION SURVEY RESULTS &
    COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE STATISTICS

    The Oak Park Class of 2006 continued the Oak Park tradition of receiving tremendous recognition from colleges and universities throughout the country! In an exit survey administered to our 292 graduating seniors, the following statistics were collected. Column abbreviations break out the data as follows: OPHS cumulative weighted GPA).  
     
    Accptd. = the number of Oak Park seniors who reported that they were accepted by this school; Attndg. = the number of seniors who reported that they have committed to attend this school; Avg.AP/C/H = the average number of AP, College and Honors courses taken by the student(s) who will be attending this school. It should be noted that all data is based on information provided by the students themselves.  GPA = the average GPA of those seniors who reported they were attending this school.  (GPA =

    SENIOR STATISTICAL OVERVIEW:

    ·    Out of a total of 292 graduating seniors, 186 reported that they had been accepted to at least one four-year college/university. This is 63.7% of the senior class.

    ·    A total of 172 are attending four-year colleges/universities, or 58.9% of the senior class.

    ·    A total of 104 are attending junior/community colleges, or 35.6% of the senior class.

    ·    A total of 276 are attending four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges, this is 94.5% of the senior class.

    ·    3 students will be attending trade schools; 8 students plan to work full time; 2 students are entering the military; 3 foreign exchange seniors will be returning home; and 2 students are undecided. The total for this group is 16, which represents 5.47% of the senior class.

    ·     A total of 231 (of those attending either four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges), are staying in California, this is 79.1% of the senior class.

    ·     A total of 45 (of those attending either four-year colleges/universities or junior colleges), are planning to attend school out-of-state, this is 15.4% of the senior class. 

    COLLEGE PREPARATORY STATUS:

    ·     230 students reported that they had completed the UC “a-g” course pattern, or 78.76% of the senior class.

    ·     62 students reported that they had not completed the UC “a-g” course pattern, or 21.2% of the senior class.

    UC/CSU BREAKDOWN:

    ·     59 students are attending UC schools, or 20.2% of the senior class.

    ·     49 students are attending CSU schools, or 16.78% of the senior class.

    ·     91 students reported that they had been accepted by at least one UC School, or 31.6% of the senior class.

    Private (4-year schools) 

    ·     39 students are attending private 4-year schools (both California and out-of-state), or 13.35% of the senior class.

    Public (4-year schools)

    ·     133 students are attending public 4-year schools (both California and out-of-state), or 45.54% of the senior class.

    California (4-year schools)

    ·     128 students are attending California 4-year schools (both public and private), or 43.83% of the senior class.

    Out-of-state (4-year schools)

    ·     44 students are attending out of state 4-year schools (both public and private), or 15.13% of the senior class. 

    JUNIOR/COMMUNITY COLLEGE BREAKDOWN:

    ·     103 students are attending California community colleges, or 35.27% of the senior class.

    ·     1 student will be attending a community college in Allegheny, Pennsylvania

    ·     58 students reported that they had completed the UC “a-g” course pattern, but still chose to attend a junior/community college.  This is 19.86% of the senior class.

    ·     14 students reported that they had been accepted to at least one four-year school, but still chose to attend a junior/community college.  This is 4.79% of the senior class.
