    Requirements:

    1.  Each student is expected to enter the room quietly, take his/her seat, and be ready to work at the designated time that class begins.  The school tardy policy as presented in the Student Handbook will be enforced.

    2.  Each student is to bring all required materials to class everyday.  This includes books, journals, paper, pencil, a correcting pen, daily assignment book, and organized school notebook.

    3.  Each student is to cover all of his/her books.  The student's name, teacher's name, and room number must be written on the inside cover in ink.

    4.  Each student is to show respect for their fellow students by following classroom rules such as:
        1)  Speak kindly to others
        2)  Use your time wisely and work on the task assigned
        3)  Socializing is to be done during nutrition and lunch and not during class
        4)  Maintain self control to help create a positive learning environment
        5)  Follow Directions
        6)  Demonstrate ideal listening skills
        7)  Food, drinks or gum may not be brought to class

    Responsibilities:

    1.  Each student is responsible for turning in all work assigned in class.  Any work not completed in class is homework and is to be turned in the next day.  A maximum of 1/2 credit will be given for work turned in one day late, and 0 points will be earned and recorded the next day for any missing work.

    2.  For excused absences, each student may make up class work, homework, and tests.  Each student will have the number of days absent plus one to make up the work missed.  Each student must make arrangements with the teacher the day you return  from an absence to make up tests.  The teacher will not ask you for any work or tests that need to be made up.  BE RESPONSIBLE!!

    3.  Each student is to get at least two phone numbers from different people in the class so he/she may phone them to get information or assignments in case he/she is absent.  Select a "STUDY BUDDY" or partner that you can rely upon to take good notes for you.

    4.  Each student is responsible for their group work as well as their individual work in each class.

Each assignment will be given a point value.  Each student will receive points for each assignment completed on time and each test taken.  Each student will earn points for their group work as well.  At the end of the grading period, each student's points will be added up, and the total points that he/she have earned will be divided by the total points that are possible.  This will give the student a percentage.  The following is the grading scale:

                100 = A+
    99%-93% = A
     92%-90% = A-
      89%-88% = B+
    87%-83% = B
     82%-80% = B-
      79%-78% = C+
