2024-25 Professional Development Opportunities 

With the new negotiated PD days not going into effect until the 2024-2025 school year, the Buy Back hours will follow the past practice for the 2024-2025 school year. 

Here are the options for professional development:

• If you want to utilize pre-approved district-sponsored professional development (PD) options, please use the PD calendar on this webpage to register. You must be signed into your Schoolwires account to register. Contact Ellen Chevalier (echevalier@opusd.org) if you need assistance.
• If you would like to complete PD at your leisure, play Take A HIKE Oak Park (Alludo). Alludo is a learner-centered professional development platform for Oak Park USD certificated staff. Points earned by completing HIKE activities can be used for buy back hours. Please sign in using Google and your district @opusd.org account. 
• If you plan to work collaboratively with a team, please discuss your plans with your principal before meeting together.
• If you would like to pursue opportunities not on the PD calendar, please know that they must be pre-approved by a site administrator. (Ed Services has allotted each site a professional development budget to use at their discretion.)
