Stanford University Challenge Success District
-
Oak Park Unified School District has partnered with Stanford University and the Challenge Success Program.
Challenge Success, we believe that our society has become too focused on grades, test scores, and performance, leaving little time for kids to develop the necessary skills to become resilient, ethical, and motivated learners. We partner with schools, families, and communities to embrace a broad definition of success and to implement research-based strategies that promote student well-being and engagement with learning. After all, success is measured over the course of a lifetime, not at the end of a semester.
Medea Creek Middle School and Oak Park High School send teams to comprehensive training who lead site implementation of C/S programs and strategies. In addition, OPUSD has utilized the C/S partnership to have parent/family information nights and special programs, such as documentary film screenings related to student stress or college and career pathways.
Every few years, the sites administer a comprehensive survey of students to help guide the C/S teams.
We look forward to working and collaborating with Challenge Success now and in the future.
