Dear Brookside Families and Staff,
As we enter our third year together at Brookside Elementary, I am filled with joy and anticipation for the continued progress, social and emotional growth, and academic success of our amazing students. Our motto, "Growing Hearts and Minds of ALL Brookside Tigers," embodies our commitment to nurturing the whole child and creating a supportive learning environment.
"I am honored to serve as your Principal and continue our journey towards excellence. Over the past two years, I have witnessed the incredible dedication and "Tiger BEST" spirit of our staff, students, and families, which has made Brookside a truly special place. Together, we have built a strong community that celebrates diversity, fosters collaboration, and embraces individuality.
With 26 years of experience in education, I remain driven by the personal growth and achievements of each student. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to inspiring and advocating for our young learners. I will continue to bring my passion, enthusiasm, and expertise to further enhance the unique educational programs that Brookside offers. But above all, I am committed to listening, learning, and understanding what makes our Brookside Tigers thrive.
Building and maintaining strong relationships is at the core of my educational philosophy. I value the input and ideas of our staff, students, and families and believe that collaboration is key to our success. I encourage you to share your thoughts and aspirations for our school. As we continue to cultivate a sense of community, I will ensure that every family feels welcomed and connected. Stay tuned for upcoming Principal Chats and family events, and remember that I am always here to listen and support you.
Annual registration forms will be available on our website starting in late July. Look out for detailed communication from me on or before July 26th, providing further instructions and information.
Should you have any questions or ideas to share, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. You can contact me via email at ddiamond@opusd.org or by calling our school office at 818-597-4200. Your feedback and input are invaluable in our collective effort to create an exceptional learning environment for our Tigers.
I look forward to the return of our students in August and continuing this remarkable journey together. In the meantime, have a SPECTACULAR summer break! I will be reading books written by Adam Grant, Priya Parker, Yung Pueblo, and Colleen Hoover. What will you be reading?
With Tiger Pride,
Diane Diamond
Principal
