• Preparing for Projects and Reports

    homework

The Red Oak Library is a great resource for
    projects and reports.
The library has a multitude of books that connect with
    grade level assignments.

However, when the biography of the famous person that you
wanted to learn about, or the book about the
animal that you wanted to study,
is checked out, what do you do?

This is a case when the local public libraries can come to the rescue.

The Oak Park Public Library belongs to the
    Ventura County Public Library system.
The Agoura Public Library and the Westlake Public Library
both belong to the Los Angeles County Public Library system.

With a library card for Ventura County and/or a library card
for Los Angeles County and a pin number, you literally have
    untold resources at your fingertips.

    Here is how it works:

If you already have a library card and a library pin number,
log onto either the L.A. County Public Library web site (http://www.colapublib.org
    ),
or the Ventura County Public Library web site (http://www.vencolibrary.org).

Type in the subject, author, or title you are looking for.
Then you will see all of the resources for the whole county
    for the item you requested.
Then request the item that you want
and enter your library card number,
    and your library pin number,
and request that the book be sent to the library closest to you.

It will usually be there in about a week, unless it's checked out.

The public library on-line request system
    is a real jewel!
