    Lab Schedule

    Oak Park Independent School provides scheduled sessions each week to receive support and assistance in academic courses.  All students are encouraged to come in for specific help, to complete assignments, or to participate as enrichment opportunities.  Students who are not yet meeting the California Content Standards are encouraged to attend.

    Mandatory for students enrolled in CP Biology and CP Chemistry.  Students may only attend lab for course they are enrolled in.

    High School OSB (OPIS Student Body)
    Students help organize OPIS events including philanthropic and social activites.  Led by OSB advisors and teachers, Kate Thompson and Lori Glazer.
    Middle School OSB (OPIS Student Body)
    Offered to all middle school students interested in being involved in extracurricular activities, student government, and community and fund-raising events.  Led by OSB adivsor and teachers, Amy Kobayashi and Samantha Lyons.
    Writer's Workshop
    Offered to all students grades 4 - 8.  Young writers thoroughly enjoy this weekly workshop taught by our K through 8 specialist teacher, Jon Duim.  
    High School Science Workshop
    Open to all high school students, this workshop is designed to help further develop scientific literacy and analytical thinking skills.  Students will participate in a wide variety of individual and group activities to explore how science works.  As per the goals of the Next Generation Science Standards, emphasis will be on crossuctting scientific principles, engineering practice and technological applications of scientific knowledge (STEM).  Led by teacher, Daniel O'Brien.
    OPIS Math Tutoring
    For all middle and high school students interested in gathering with other students to study and work on their class work.  Please bring all textbooks and materials as needed.  High School math tutoring and assistance in Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Finite Math, Math Analysis, and Pre-Calculus.  Led by teacher James Barnett.
    Science Tutoring
    Individual and small-group drop in tutoring.  Although open to all OPIS High School students, this tutoring focuses primarily on Chemistry.  Additional help is available on Mr. O'Brien's OPIS Science Tutoring webpage. Led by teacher Daniel O'Brien.
