WHAT THE OAK HILLS PTA DOES AND WHY WE ASK FOR DONATIONS
The mission of the California State PTA is to positively impact the lives of all children and families. The Oak Hills PTA seeks to achieve this goal by enhancing the education and welfare of the students. Run by parent volunteers, the Oak Hills PTA fundraises and coordinates special events throughout the year to enhance the educational experience for Oak Hills Students. By raising funds, the Oak Hills PTA is able to support the Art, Music, and Computer programs; along with the Literacy Aides, a Math Intervention Specialist, and the 4/5 Grade Aide. In addition, the funds raised by the Oak Hills PTA also provide Cultural Events, a Spelling Bee, Book Fair Family Night and Science Night. Without the generous donations from Oak Hills Families, Community Businesses and the countless volunteer hours many Parents put in, Oak Hills would be without these programs.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP THESE PROGRAMS CONTINUE EACH YEAR AT OAK HILLS
- TEAM OHES DONATION
This appeal is a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts. The money raised by our TEAM goes to providing Technology, Equipment, Art, and Music; along with the Literacy Aides, a Math Intervention Specialist, the 4/5 Grade Aide and an array of educational programs and events. Without your support, we cannot ensure the continuation of all of these programs. This year we are requesting a 350 dollar donation per student to continue to provide these amazing programs. This donation is tax-deductible and can be matched by many companies (for more information regarding corporate matching please visit our corporate matching information tab on our OHES PTA home page). There are two ways you can donate this year; either directly through the T.E.A.M link below or a 7-month Paypal installment plan at $50.00 per month for the direct donation contribution of $350 for one child or $700 for two.
Our events are not possible without our amazing volunteers. From the Back to School Picnic, to Dance-A-Thon, the Give Back Dinner, Science Night, the Spring Fundraiser and more we need your help to make them possible. Please join our Helping Hands Volunteer List Group in Parent Square. Every time the Oak Hills PTA needs help with an event, you will be the first to know!
WHAT OTHER DONATIONS THE OAK HILLS PTA ASKS FOR
- SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATION
This request provides a unique benefit to you! At OHES, there is no supply list that you have to go purchase before school starts. WE DO IT FOR YOU! Instead of having to go to multiple stores with a cumbersome list of supplies, we utilize this donation to provide all students with the school supplies they need for the year. Our program provides consumable materials children will need in class, including pencils, markers, crayons, glue, scissors, staplers, dry erase markers, tape, writing paper, construction paper, card stock, and copy paper. Please strongly consider our request for $75 per student to provide supplies for each and every student at Oak Hills. (Note: Please be aware that throughout the year your teachers may request items such as project-specific materials. These items are separate from the supply donation we are requesting here.)
(All children receive the same supplies regardless of whether or not they make a donation. Should any student or parent believe they were impermissibly charged a fee or required to provide materials or supplies that they would not have otherwise voluntarily paid or provided, an application for reimbursement may be filed with the District by calling (818) 735-3206)

- PTA Membership
Please join us and let your voice be heard! As a PTA member, you are able to make a significant difference at our school by voting on PTA funding issues and pertinent matters that impact all students at OHES. You can join the PTA for the small donation of $10 per membership.

Students may not be charged for participation in educational activities and may not be discriminated against or denied participation for not providing voluntary donations to the school.
