Some of Mrs. Farlow's Favorites: Family, Friends, & Flea Markets! I'm looking forward to learning about you and all of your favorite things!

 

Fourth grade is an important year because fourth graders assume more responsibilities and make more decisions about their learning. We will be learning all about California through Social Studies, the novels we read, and many of the field trips that we go on.

 

You will create a Writing Notebook and grow exponentially in your writing this school year.  You will learn about Science with our new STEMscopes Science curriculum.  You will keep track of your reading progress in your personalized Reading Notebook.  We will read Fiction and Nonfiction books, learning reading skills along the way.  Technology will be a useful tool that we will use in our classroom and the computer lab throughout the year.

 

Most importantly, learning in fourth grade is going to be FUN! It is going to be an exciting school year!  I believe parents can be an invaluable and active resource to the school.  I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you to make fourth grade a great year!
