Important Cafeteria News
The cafeteria will be using a new POS system (point of sale) to check out all students when purchasing food in the cafeteria. We will no longer be using tickets.
Each student has a student id number provided by the school. When you write a check, pay cash or participate in the free & reduced program, the money is entered into the POS system under your child’s id number. Every transaction will be posted under your child’s name and the balance will be reduced accordingly.
How this system will work - Every student’s id card will be printed out with a barcode and handed to their teacher. The student’s will line up for lunch and their teacher will hand them their card to be used in the cafeteria. They will hand their card to the cafeteria worker, scan the card and then it will be placed in their teacher’s bucket. Your child will get their lunch and enjoy their meal. This process will be repeated daily.
Remaining tickets – The tickets left over from last year may be used until 9/30/11. After that time, any remaining tickets need to be turned into the cafeteria and the ticket value will be added to your child’s account.
Meal prices – The meal prices remain the same. Nutrition - $2.75 Lunch- $3.75
Payments –You may pay by check in the cafeteria, the school office or by mailing to the district office to the attention of the child nutrition department. Cash is accepted in the cafeteria only.
