Leaf-It-To-Us
Grant
We are recipients of the Leaf-It-To-Us grant provided by The Forestry Institute for Teachers and Project Learning. They are committed in making California a sustainable urban ecosystem by greening up school campuses, neighborhoods and maintaining forests.
This program offers our students environmental consciousness on the importance of trees and teaches how to plant and care for them.

Each school’s Beautification Committee will assist the District’s Grounds crew in the planting and maintenance (fertilizing, weeding and staking) of the newly planted trees.
The Beautification Committees will meet monthly to discuss placement, installation timeline and maintenance .
Please contact your school to see how you can become a Beautification Committee member.
Due to the current state budget crisis, the Department of Forestry and Community Forestry Projects has stopped all grant funding until further notice.
No trees were killed in the sending of this message, but a lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
