Dear Brookside Family,
Welcome back to an exciting new year at Brookside, where learning is joyful and students are delighted to come to school. I look forward to greeting you personally on August 31st and at Back to School Night on September 21st. I can’t wait to share the incredible learning experiences we have planned for the new school year.
If you are new to Brookside, please introduce yourself. I am so pleased you are joining the Brookside family, home of the Brookside Tigers! Parents and community members are encouraged to participate and become involved at our school. We actively ask for your support and suggestions. Our incredible PTA organizes and funds some of our most popular programs and activities. I encourage you to get acquainted and to get involved. You will find the effort enjoyable and rewarding.
Those of you reading this welcome message are to be complimented on navigating your way through our online information and annual forms. All annual forms are now available online as well as important information about upcoming events. When you fill out each form, you will need to print the information on white paper and return it to school on August 25 or 26 during our annual forms collection. You will be mailed notification of your assigned day and time for this collection.
As you begin to plan for your child’s return to school, consider buying a lunch box and re-usable containers for packing lunches and snack foods. Even though our school colors are blue and white, we are going “green” at Brookside. Our efforts to reduce trash from lunches should start at home. Students will bring or buy lunch and then take home plastic containers to rinse out and use again the next day.
We hope you will find that Brookside Elementary School is truly a place where learning is joyful and children delight in coming to school. Come learn with us!
