COWs: Rules/Directions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Rules
*Handle your COW with care. You are responsible for
returning it in the same condition in which you received it.
*As possible, use the COW
assigned to you every time we use them! Your COW will get to know you and
signing on will be faster.
*Once the COW is flat on your desk, leave it there. Do
not move around the room with the COW. We do not want any COWs tipped or
dropped.
*Log on to the COW with your ID number and Zangle
password, but do NOT share that information with other students.
*When using the COW, use it for assigned purposes only. Any
inappropriate uses will result in the loss of COW privileges and further
consequences if necessary.
*When finished working, save your work to the appropriate
place (see below), log off, and shut down if no other students are waiting to
use that COW.
*The last person logged onto the COW should return it
to the correct spot in the cart, wrap the cord so there is not extra wire
dangling, and attach the power. Neglecting this responsibility will result
in the loss of COW privileges.
2.
Saving Procedures
*Save EVERY document in this format
unless instructed otherwise:
all your documents. This is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
file.
*Go to File, Save As
*Check that you have saved your file in the format provided:
*Open the MCMS Student Server by clicking on the icon in the
dock.
*Go to Teacher Folders, your teacher, your period
*Drag and drop the file you saved on the Desktop to the
Hand-In folder for your period.
*Approve the Warning notification.
*If I have the Hand-In folder visible on the SmartBoard, you
can watch for your file to appear.
*Back up the submitted file to your flashdrive before you
delete it from the Desktop.
