February 25-27 (Ligeti & Johnson’s classes)

                                   Fox Landing and Cherry Cove Camps)

March 11-13 (Mostly Cohen’s classes)

The 7th Grade Science classes will be leaving on their Catalina Adventure on the following dates:

Monday, February 25 through Wednesday, February 27 (for Ligeti/Johnson classes) and Monday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 13(for Cohen’s classes) to the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI). 
 
7th Grade Students that are going to Catalina, please remember:
  • Arrive at the MCMS Gym at 6:00 AM.  Please be on time! Check in directly with your chaperone.
  • Be sure to have your luggage (16 inches x 16 inches x 26 inches), your sleeping bag, and your backpack.  The color ribbon of your camp and an ID tag should be on each of those items.
  • Your backpack should contain the following:
                     --Lunch and Water Bottle
                     --Inhalers
                     --Hat and Sunscreen
                     --Quiet Activities such as books, cards, paper, pencil for you to do on the boat

The OPUSD Field Trip and CIMI Medical forms that were completed and turned in are still valid. All OPUSD Field Trip Forms and CIMI Medical Forms should be in.  (Forms were due 1/24.) If forms have not been completed and turned in to your child's science teacher there is a possibility there will be issues with your child participating.

The new CATALINA RALLY date is Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 in the MCMS gym.  The MANDATORY CHAPERONE meeting will be at 5:00 that same day.

STUDENTS THAT NEED TO TAKE MEDICATION---If we still have your child’s medication, etc. from the original trip you are good to go.  However, if you collected your child’s medication or there have been changes to your child’s medication we will need the OPUSD Extended Field Trip or Excursion Medication Authorization Forms and medication should be completed and turned in to the MCMS OFFICE!!!!!!!!! If you need to turn in medication on Monday morning, 2/25 please notify your child's teacher of this immediately!!!!  If there are any questions in regards to medication, please contact the MCMS Health Technician, Cindy Bisciglia.
