Lou has been a professional educator since 1972. He holds a masters degree in education and has professional credentials in administration and multiple subject teaching, kindergarten through grade twelve. Lou also has credentials in special education and pupil personnel and counseling. His experience includes teaching and administration in New York, Massachusetts and California. His classroom teaching experience includes the social sciences, special education teacher/case manager and career education specialist.Lou has extensive administrative experience in both classroom-based and independent study education. He was named Administrator of the Year, Los Angeles County, for outstanding performance and achievement. He notes that Oak View High School has a truly outstanding staff of dedicated, caring professionals with amazing experience, talent and skills. Lou believes that students deserve alternatives to the traditional classroom experience and should have multiple opportunities to succeed, to explore interests and to become life-long learners. Lou resides in Oak Park with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time, Lou enjoys camping, golf, catch and release fly fishing, and cheering for his beloved New York Yankees with family and friends.
