C.P. :Designed for students planning on attending college, but not majoring in a science field. Their needs are (1) Acquire the knowledge of an informed citizen, (2) Develop the intellectual skills necessary to be successful in college, and (3) Meet the essential standards as measured by standardized testing.
HONORS :Designed for students planning to major in science or are interested in a more rigorous study. Their needs are the same as above plus acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to advance to college level/A.P. science work.
A.P. : Designed for students to pass the A.P. exam with a 3 or higher in order to receive college credit for the course. Their needs are (1) Memorize the factual information and vocabulary, (2) Understand the scientific principles, and (3) Develop the problem solving skills outlined in the A.P. syllabus.
