Here at Red Oak, we have a "Big and Little Buddies" program.  The program works by getting a class of older kids, like 3rd, 4th or 5th grade, to pair with a class of younger kids, like kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade.

An older kid gets assigned to a younger "buddy." The kids and their teachers get together lots of times each year.  During these times, the kids get to play and have fun together.  The younger kids get to read to the older kids, and all sorts of other cool things!  It is a great opportunity to make new friends and have fun!
